Privacy policy

RyteDesk is operated by Ryteway Labs LLC, 100 N Howard St Ste R, Spokane, WA 99201. This policy explains what we collect on this website, from people who join the waitlist, and from businesses that sign up for the RyteDesk dashboard and use the assistant.
What we collect
- Waitlist form: your email address and business type (required), and your business name and a short description of your biggest phone or follow-up problem (optional).
- Security checks: our form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Cloudflare processes technical information from your browser and network, such as your IP address, to do this, under its own privacy policy. We also use your IP address briefly to limit repeated submissions; we do not store it with your signup.
- Email delivery: when you join, we send one confirmation email through Resend. Resend processes your email address to deliver it.
We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this website, and we do not sell your information.
If you have a RyteDesk account
- Your account: your email address and a password (stored only as a salted hash by our sign-in provider), and your business details: name, time zone, address, hours, website, phone number, the questions and answers you add, and the templates and settings you choose.
- Your customers’ conversations: when your customers call, text, chat or email your assistant, we store the messages, call transcripts and call details (such as the caller’s phone number, time and length) so you can read them and so the assistant can answer. For this information we act as a service provider for your business, which decides what to do with it. Businesses are responsible for telling their own customers how they use it.
- Connected accounts: if you connect Google Calendar, Square or Calendly we store a token to read your appointments (encrypted, and never shown to us in readable form in the dashboard). Square access is read-only. You can disconnect at any time.
- Your phone number from us: we buy a local phone number for your business through our phone provider and give it back if you delete the business.
How we use it
- To tell you when your spot opens and to follow up on what you shared.
- To learn which kinds of businesses want this product, so we can decide what to build first.
- To keep the website and form secure and prevent abuse.
- To run the service you asked for: answer your customers on your behalf, show you the conversations, and send you notices.
Who processes it for us
We use Supabase (database hosting, United States), Cloudflare (network, bot protection and our API), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (email), Twilio (phone calls and text messages) and Anthropic (the AI model that writes the assistant’s replies; the text of a conversation is sent to it so it can reply). If you connect them, Google, Square and Calendly also process the data you ask them to share. They process information only to provide their service to us, and we do not use your or your customers’ messages to train our own models.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist entries until early access ends or you ask us to delete yours, whichever comes first. Conversations and call records are deleted automatically after 12 months. When someone replies STOP we keep a record that they did, and the record of consent, so that we never text them again by mistake. Account owners can download a copy of their data or delete their business, and everything under it, from the dashboard settings.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to be removed from the waitlist, by replying to any email from us or writing to hello@rytedesk.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Text messages and calls
When businesses use RyteDesk to contact their own customers by text or phone, those messages are covered by our SMS terms and by the business’s own privacy practices. Joining this waitlist does not sign you up for text messages.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We will update this page and its date when our practices change.
